Do you know life’s most meaningful relationship?
1. Who is God?
God is our Creator. True, that may be the most obvious statement no one actually cares about anymore BUT there might be a possibility that an alien came upon this page and did not know that. He basically created everything in existence – from the air we breathe to our gadgets and etc.
He created you, Megan Fox, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Zac Efron and even me.
Unbelievably so, our amazing Lord, for some unknown reason, loves us very very very very much. Even though a lot of people today conclude that the Lord does not love them because of the circumstances they face, He does.
No questions asked. I know it’s true because it is written in John 3:16 (CEV), “God LOVED the people of this world so much that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who has faith in Him will have eternal life and never really die.”
Along with that fact, God is obviously and certainly 100% perfect. He is sinless and spotless. He is HOLY.
2. We, human beings, have a problem.
We are all sinners. Even if we claim to be good people in general (I am guilty of this), we still have sinned at least at one point in our lives. True, our sins may be as little as telling white lies which is nothing compared to killing someone BUT still, it is against the will of God.
If you think I’m crazy then check out Romans 3:23 (CEV), “ALL of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory.”
Therefore as sinners, we are all subjected to death. And I don’t mean the death and grave thing, I mean death as in going to hell kind of death. I’m speaking of the second death.
According to Romans 6:23 (CEV), “Sin pays off with death…..” so I am not a delusional lunatic. Lol.
3. We cannot do anything about it.
Nothing we do will ever be enough to bridge the gap between us and the Lord. It is written in Romans 3:10-12 (NIV), “There is no one righteous, not even one.. All have turned away… There is no one who does good, not even on.” So if you think I’m a liar, think again.
Good works will never be enough to pay for our offenses against God. Seriously though, if we think that by donating everything we own to the poor will make us clean and spotless as God is, we are wrong. We will never be pure enough. We will never be holy enough.
4. Someone else can do something about that problem, though.
That someone is Jesus. Yes, “Jesus is the way,” often is taken as a joke but then it actually is the truth. The reality is, Jesus died on the cross, not just for the sake of trying it out or something as idiotic as that BUT for the sake of saving us from the aforementioned death.
It is written in 1 Corinthians 15:3-6 (NIV), “Christ died for our sins… He was buried, … He was raised on the third day according to the scriptures.. He appeared to Peter, and then to the twelve. After that, he appeared to more than 500..”
Moreover, it is written in John 4:16 (NIV), “I am the way, the truth and the life. NO ONE comes to the Father except through Me.” Therefore, the only way for us to actually have a connection with the Lord is through Jesus. There is no other way.
5. Our contribution.
We must make the decision. We must choose to accept God’s free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:23 (CEV) actually continues to, “… BUT God’s gift is eternal life given by Jesus Christ our Lord.”
And the bible also says in John 1:12 (NIV), “To all who received Him, to those who believed His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”
So after all, there is hope for us. We don’t have to go straight to the highway to hell, we can take a RIGHT turn to the shallow road leading to salvation.
Jesus is personally inviting you to have a relationship with Him. I’m not making this up, it is written also in Revelation 3:20, “Here I Am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone heard my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me.”
6. Are you up for the challenge?
Are you willing to choose Jesus over evil? Are you willing to actually decide? Because when you make the decision, there will be no turning back for you, not a bad thing though. Lol.
If you are not then maybe the time has not yet come for you. However, if you have decided, I believe the following would be helpful before starting your journey:
A. Admit it.
Admit that you are a sinner and cannot do anything to save your ass from burning in hell.
B. Believe it.
Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose again.
C. Receive Him.
Receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.
D. Claim it.
Claim Jesus’ free gift of forgiveness and eternal life.
E. A prayer.
No, you don’t have to say these exact words but this might be helpful. Think of it as a guide.
I need You. I confess that I am a sinner, and that I have been running my life on my own and for myself. But I quit as of today. I believe that You died on the cross to pay for all my sins. I ask You to come into my life ad my Lord and Savior. I humbly accept your free gift of eternal life. Please help me live my life Your way starting today. Lord, from now on, I am yours.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
